Vet Science Week 2025 will host a number of abstract sessions within the program. The following Chapters will be offering abstract sessions within the Vet Science Week 2025 program:

  • Emergency Critical Care

  • Epidemiology

  • Equine

  • Feline

  • Radiology

  • Small Animal Medicine

  • Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia

  • Veterinary Pharmacology

  • Surgery

  • Veterinary Public Health

Submit your abstract by 2 March 2025, for a chance to present your work to a distinguished audience and engage in meaningful discussions with peers.

Presenter Registration

All presenters must pay for their registration to present at Vet Science Week before Thursday 23 April 2025 

Abstract Submission Terms and Conditions

At the time of submission, you will be asked to select your preferred presentation type. Not all requests can be accommodated, and the final presentation type will be selected by a nominated Chapter Reviewer. VSW25 will include presentation types as follows:

  •  Oral Presentation (20-minute presentation, comprising of a 15-minute presentation + 5 minutes for questions).
  • Poster Presentation. Physical posters only.

Firstly, you must create an account to upload an abstract.

Step 1: Please go to the online abstract submission portal

Step 2: Click the “Create an Author Account” link and enter your contact details. These details are required to create the account.

Step 3: Once you have created an account within this portal you can upload your submissions.

  • Abstracts must be submitted using the template and uploaded as a Word Document in eOrganiser (see Instructions in the Abstract Submission Guidelines).
  • Abstracts must be submitted in English. Your abstracts must be print ready.
  • Maximum number of words in the main body of the abstract is 250 words.
  • Do not include the title of your abstract or author names and affiliations in the abstract body. These will be automatically populated on the final abstract document based on the details you entered into the relevant sections of the abstract submission site.
  • Use standard abbreviations only. Within the body of the abstract, when using abbreviations spell out the name in full at first mention and follow with the abbreviation in parenthesis. Abbreviations may be used in the title, provided the name in full is outlined in the body of the abstract.
  • It is the responsibility of the submitting author to ensure that the submission has been approved by all authors.
  • The Chapter nor Science Week Organisers will not be responsible for any errors published.

  • Abstracts must be submitted by Sunday 2 March 2025.
  • Abstracts will not be accepted via fax, email, mail or USB/CD.
  • All fields on the online abstract submission form must be completed.
  • Acceptance of abstracts for presentation at Science Week will be on the basis of the Chapter’s selection.
  • All presenting authors will be required to register and pay for Science Week by the author registration deadline of 23 April 2025 to ensure that their abstract(s) are included in the final program.
  • It is the responsibility of the presenting author to ensure that the abstract is submitted correctly.
  • After an author has submitted their abstract, they must check their submission to ensure the document has been uploaded correctly. Authors can check their submission by clicking on the viewing option in the submission form.
  • The Science Week Organisers will not be held responsible for abstract submissions not received via the website or for submission errors caused by Internet services outages or other unforeseen events.

Each abstract will be assessed according to the following criteria:

  1. Relevance to the Chapter theme.
  2. Relevance to the professional and/or personal context of delegates.
  3. Potential to contribute to the body of knowledge in the field of the selected Chapter.

International delegates can request for an official Welcome Letter from the Science Week Organisers to assist with their VISA Applications after paying for their Science Week registration. Please forward a copy of your registration confirmation email and receipt to the Science Week Organisers at register.vetscienceweek@arinexgroup.com and request for a Welcome Letter.

Please note that the above must be provided otherwise your request will be denied.
